Brooke & Joy Games creates fast, inclusive, high-energy games designed to bring people together. Founded by five sisters, including former executive for the #1 best selling game, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, we strive to make amazing games that bring joy and connection to your family & friends.

Our Story

  • Growing up in a big family, the five sisters would grow up playing cards at their grandpa's cottage on rainy days where there was nothing else to do. Crazy eights, solitare, speed, spit, and egyptian ratscrew were daily games they played.

    Fast forward to adulthood, one of the sisters ended up becoming the first Chief Marketing & Sales Officer for the #1 best selling game, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, where she scaled the brand from one game to a successful line of eight games at key retailers like Target.

She left Taco Cat Games shortly after her youngest daughter, Alessandra Brooke, was born with several medical issues. While at home with her ill daughter, she began playing even more games with her own siblings, like they used to back at their grandpa's house.

When Alessandra Brooke starting recovering, the four sisters decided to band together and create their own card game company. Knowing that over 90% of family card games are purchased by women (moms) but only 7% of game desginers are female, they felt there was an opportunity to support & promote women in a big way.

The five sisters teamed up with other award-winning game designers, psychologists, teachers, and moms to bring that same passion for fast, inclusive, high-energy gameplay to Brooke & Joy—along with a deeply personal mission.


The company is named in honor of the CEO's two daughters - Alessandra Brooke and Aubriella Joy. Alessandra's critical illness inspired Alyssa to build a brand centered on joy, connection, and purpose.
